Temporarily Closed - A Series

This series is a collection of theaters that were forced to close down due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Theaters were always a place where people would gather, especially in the evenings, to spend some time with friends and family. Many businesses that we went to for leisure time are blank. The boards that showed movie times were occupied by messages from people to people, or they were simply empty. These images wanted emphasize the effects the pandemic has had on our everyday “normal” social lives. Black and white is used as a technique to highlight the colors as light and shadow rather than the typical colors we normally see.
